I started my professional music career in as a founder member of Sydney based Bluetongue, which was the most popular bush band in Sydney in the late 70’s and early 80’s. After moving to the UK I developed my performance and skills playing in folk-rock, blues-rock, jazz, art-rock and alternative country bands. I ended up as a band leader, audio engineer and producer.
Throughout my live and studio-based career I have been involved in many projects to promote both music and the musicians who make it. My experience with organizations such as the UK’s Musicians’ Union both at regional and national levels has given me experience that will help the Club Muso Association achieve its goals.
My experience as a live musician, studio musician, producer, music journalist and tertiary music lecturer gives me an insight into the needs of local musicians at all levels.
